Pearl River Blues Berry Farm

Pearl River Blues Berry Farm is a little farm located in Lumberton, Mississippi. Owned by Amy and Alan Phelps, the farm has 5 acres of Rabbit-Eye blueberries perched on a lovely hill which sits just east of the farm house.

Everything is grown using sustainable agricultural methods. (For several years, PRB was “certified organic”. However, after the state of Mississippi dissolved the position of the organic certifier a few years back, it became cost prohibitive to afford an out of state certifier. PRB no longer uses the term ‘certified organic’ even though they still farm the blueberries using only organic methods and certified organic fertilizers and amendments. It is just too expensive to pay for an out of state organic certification.)
